Your goal is to create a successful TikTok Topic Page and make thousands of dollars? In this step-by-step guide, I'll explain exactly what it takes to build a successful TikTok channel.
Niche selection.
The most important thing for a successful TikTok channel is choosing the right niche. But what exactly is a niche?
A niche is the subcategory you choose to put your videos in. It is important that it is not too competitive, but still has a large audience.
This ensures that you don't start in an oversaturated niche, as the chances of success are very low. You should also make sure that if you want to benefit from the TikTok Creator Fund, you target as old an audience as possible, as TikTok pays more money for an older audience because they are more likely to buy.
If you choose to make money through collaborations, you should make videos that appeal to companies so that they choose you to promote their products. Warm up your account.
After you have decided on a niche and created a TikTok channel, you need to warm up your channel. This means, even if it is difficult, do not upload the first TikToks to your newly created channel straight away, otherwise you will be classified as a bot or spammer.
To avoid this, you should not upload anything for 2 days. In the meantime, you should scroll through your For You page 3 times a day for at least 5 minutes and use this time to focus on the content you want to publish.
You can do this by explicitly searching for these topics in the search bar and interacting with them, and after 2 days your For You Page should mainly show the content you plan to publish.
Publish content.
If you've been patient enough, you can now upload your first TikTok.
But don't overdo it, otherwise the algorithm will classify you as a spammer. This means you'll be stuck with a few hundred views for an eternity, which doesn't speed up the process of building a channel, but slows it down considerably.
That's why it's a good idea to start with one TikTok per day. If your videos are well received, you can slowly increase the number up to 10 TikToks per day.
Content strategy.
Before you create very elaborate videos, your goal is to reach 10,000 followers with as little effort as possible.
My personal approach is to generate as many views and followers as possible with as little effort as possible. That's why I vary the type of my content a lot and let slideshows play a big role.
If you've never seen slideshows before, I'll explain them briefly. Basically, they are a series of pictures. Add a suitable song and upload. That's it. And you've already made the first TikTok of the day. I think you understand what I mean. Lots of views with little effort.
My expertise is that you build your content like this: 2 slideshows and then a video until you reach 10,000 followers. Depending on your niche, it may not make sense to upload a slideshow, so you should vary my instructions. Here are some tips on how to reach 10,000 followers as quickly as possible:
8 suggestions to overcome.
"This all sounds very positive, but how can I improve the interaction?"
If you're not experienced, it can be overwhelming to think about so many factors at once to make your video go viral.
That is why you should take small steps and gradually incorporate more and more of these useful tips into your videos.
Actively encourage people to follow you: By actively encouraging your viewers to follow you on your channel, you can greatly increase the number of followers on a video. It’s easy to insert a small screen overlay to remind your viewers to follow you.
Use different content formats: Combine different forms of content such as carousels and videos to create a more diverse content strategy. By using different formats, you can also encourage different types of engagement. Ensure that you are creating relevant content that resonates with your audience to enhance visibility and engagement.
Create multiple videos on related topics and improve key metrics such as watch time. For video clips longer than one minute, the following criteria are essential:
Within 3 seconds, at least 70% of viewers should still be watching the video.
After 30 seconds, at least 50% should still be watching.
Aim for full playback: The goal is to have a maximum number of viewers watch the video in its entirety.
Reply to comments: Replying to comments increases your interaction rate, which in turn increases the engagement rate and watch time, as viewers often read through and respond to the comments section.
Include intentional errors: Deliberately include errors or questions in your videos to encourage viewers to comment on them in the comments section. This can include spelling mistakes or the question of what the next video should be about.
Using hashtags from your specific field increases the visibility and relevance of your video. When providing digital marketing tips, honing in on a specific niche can help target and engage your desired audience more effectively.
Use popular sounds and hashtags: By using current trending sounds, you can increase your watch time and interactions, which in turn leads to more video views.
Subtitles: TikTok is all about subtitles, which not
10,000 followers or more.
Once you have reached the magic ten thousand, you can start getting paid for your videos. Upload one-minute videos and you will receive a certain amount of money for every 1000 views.
But don't overdo it and don't upload more than one video per day, as TikTok now prioritizes quality over quantity. So if you upload too many videos, your RPM will drop. And it won't recover once it's down.
Conclusion.
As you can see, it's not that hard, most of it depends on your niche selection. So just start creating content, the experience and skill can't come without trying.
