Getting paid by TikTok to create videos sounds easy at first - but getting to the point where you are approved for the Creator Rewards program, is a hurdle that many new creators fail at.

The following article will look at the requirements that must be met in order to be admitted to the Creator Rewards program.

I’ll give you a behind-the-scenes look once you’re accepted into the program, as well as some tips on how to quickly meet the requirements for the Creator Rewards Program. If you want to learn more about the Creator Rewards Program in general, this article explains everything you need to know about it. To enhance your chances, it's crucial to create engaging videos that not only capture memorable moments but also effectively showcase your products or services.

TikTok Creator Rewards Program Requirements - A list.

1. Place of residence.

Only a small part of the world's population are eligible for the Creator Rewards Program, because it's not available everywhere.

The program is currently available in the following countries: USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Brazil.

However, it is foreseeable that the program will be introduced in other countries.

2. 10 000 followers.

It takes 10,000 TikTok followers to be admitted to the program.

By the way, TikTok recognizes fake engagement. So it is not expedient to reach the 10,000 followers with the help of bots.

3. 100,000 views in the last 30 days.

This requirement sounds harder than it actually is.

If you post regularly, I guarantee that by the time you reach 10,000 followers, you'll get well over 100,000 views in the last month.

4. Age.

To participate in the Creator Rewards program, you must be at least 18 years old. This will also be checked when you want to add payment options.

5. Compliance with TikTok Policies.

To be eligible for the Creator Rewards Program, your channel should have as few violations of the Community Guidelines as possible.

However, if you're creating original content, you shouldn't find it particularly difficult.

If a video is taken down from TikTok, you can always request a re-review, which very often ends with your video being played out after all.

Monetization Stragegies.

Once you’ve met the requirements for the TikTok Creator Rewards Program, it’s time to explore various monetization strategies to maximize your earnings. Here are some effective ways to make money on TikTok:

1. TikTok Creator Fund.

The TikTok Creator Fund is a fantastic way for popular creators to earn money through their content. To be eligible, you need at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days. While the Creator Fund is being replaced by the Creativity Program in some regions, it still offers a lucrative opportunity for creators. With the Creator Fund, you can earn up to 20 times more than other monetization options. This program rewards you for creating engaging videos that resonate with your audience, making it a great way to monetize your TikTok presence.

2. TikTok Ads.

TikTok Ads are a powerful tool for brands looking to reach their target audience. With over 67% of 18-19 year olds and 56% of 20-29 year olds on TikTok, it’s an ideal platform for marketing to Gen Z. Ad formats vary by region, but all allow for personalized targeting by age, location, interest, and other factors. The most popular types of TikTok ads include in-feed video, brand takeover, and hashtag challenges. By leveraging TikTok ads, you can create highly targeted campaigns that drive engagement and conversions.

3. TikTok Shop.

TikTok Shop is a feature that allows brands and creators to sell products directly within the app. To set up a TikTok Shop, you need a business account, a verified email address, and a profile that is at least 30 days old. Additionally, you must have a Shopify account. Once set up, you can showcase and sell your products via TikTok LIVE, the Shop tab, and directly with links on your videos. This seamless integration makes it easy for your followers to purchase products, enhancing your ability to monetize your TikTok account.

Earning Money on TikTok.

Beyond the Creator Rewards Program, there are several other ways to earn money on TikTok. Here are some additional strategies to consider:

1. Collecting Tips and Donations.

Collecting tips and donations is a great way for creators to earn money directly from their fans. TikTok has introduced a tipping feature that allows select creators to receive tips and donations from their followers. Fans can use this feature to show their appreciation for the creators they love. Additionally, video gifts let viewers send virtual gifts and coins, which can be redeemed for Diamonds—TikTok’s digital currency. When you save up enough Diamonds, you can trade them for real cash. You can also use external tipping platforms to collect tips and donations, providing another revenue stream for your TikTok account.

By exploring these monetization strategies, you can maximize your earnings and make the most of your TikTok presence. Whether you’re leveraging the TikTok Creator Fund, running ads, setting up a TikTok Shop, or collecting tips and donations, there are plenty of opportunities to turn your TikTok account into a profitable venture.

Some tips you may have not heard.

Not all views count - and are therefore not paid.

In order for the video to be approved for monetization at all, it must be over a minute long.

The views of the video are divided into total video views, ineligible and qualified views. Total video views are the views that the video has achieved in total. In the screenshot following, you can see that one of my videos has achieved 18.1 million views in total.

As you can already see, the quallified views are significantly less, they average 65 percent for me. This means that only 11.2 million views were paid and almost 7 million were not.

The reason is that the video must be watched for at least 5 seconds, the call must come from the For You Page and the view does not count, if this person disliked the video. In addition, only the first view of the video counts, so watching the video several times is not rewarded.

Yes – in this case, that’s about 40 percent of all views that are not paid.

The most difficult thing at the beginning is to reach the 10,000 followers.

To help you reach this milestone faster, here are some tips:

Growing and managing TikTok accounts can be a lucrative business opportunity. By building an engaging profile in a popular niche, you can attract followers and eventually sell these accounts to businesses or influencers. Demonstrating the account's value through metrics like follower count and engagement rates is crucial when selling.

1. Follow profile views.

The most recent views on your profile are displayed at the top right.

After following some, you'll notice that some are following you back, which can give you a big push.

The maximum number of people you can follow at once is around 60, and more than 10 of them follow back for sure.

Since the maximum number of channels you can follow is 10,000, a high number of bakfollows is possible.

However, before you sign up for the Creator Rewards Program, you should unfollow these people so that they are not recognizing your channel as fake engagement.

2. Call to action.

You'll be amazed at how much more followers you can collect when you mention in your videos that you want to be followed.

You can also use a small animation to do this. Simply download a green screen video with a suitable animation from Youtube that you insert into each video.

3. Use different content formats.

Combine different forms of content such as carousels and videos to create a more diverse content strategy.

By using different formats, you can also encourage different types of engagement.

4. Reuse your content.

Some of your videos are particularly well received by your community.

However, since most views come from the FYP and not from your followers, you can reuse well-performing videos without a guilty conscience after some time. But it's better to wait 2 months, otherwise this video will perform worse.

5. Use popular sounds and hashtags.

By using current trending sounds, you can increase your watch time and interactions, which in turn leads to more video views.

6. Reply to your comments.

When you reply to comments your community sent you, they'll know that you care about them, which makes you instantly likeable. This often leads to a follow. In addition, the watchtime of your video will increase as well, because viewers spend more time in the comment section.

Conclusion.

As you’ve noticed, it can be hard to meet the requirements.

But I don’t want to discourage you directly.

It depends a lot on how good your content is, how often you post, and what niche you publish your videos in. TikTok users, for instance, often face these challenges but can overcome them by employing effective strategies to monetize their presence.

If you’re particularly good or serve a hyped niche, it’s entirely possible to meet all the requirements in a matter of days.
